One Nation Working Together

This new group has appeared on the Internet a few months ago without much fanfare. It was endorsed from the beginning by the AFL-CIO and some other independent labor unions. If you look for news on this group you wont find much. However I'm going to keep an eye on these guys.
The Tea Party has demonstrated that there is a way to create a nation wide political grassroots movement. Of course the tea party is funded by several wealthy billionaires, so even though it might look like a spontaneous grassroots organization can spring up across the country overnight, turns out you need some money from the top.
Working on the theory that they can create a progressive grassroots organization (rather paradoxically) from the top down, Big Labor thinks it can create an anti-tea party. But despite my problems with how unions work in the US nowadays, I still think that organization will do a lot for the political left in the United States. Especially if it distances itself from the flags of the AFL-CIO and the rest. Despite all the good work that unions have done, there failures stand out to the still substantially conservative public.
The key event to watch out for in this organization is the October first jobs march. If they succeed in getting a lot of people like their hoping to, and if it sparks grass roots organization like I would assume their hoping, this group could have a tea party like influence on the politics of the left, as in bringing it farther left.
